What is the very first and absolutely fundamental thing that anyone should acquire before moving into the deeper stages of SEO? In fact, SEO would simply be impossible to perform without this.

Ask any true SEO practitioner and they will tell you the same thing.

Keywords

Think about it, without the right keywords, there will be nothing to optimize FOR and there will be nothing to optimize WITH. With the right keywords, you can target the right audience and thus allowing your business to be found and connect with the right people.

The entire concept of SEO REVOLVES around keywords, and that is why keyword research is such large and important aspect. But it’s not as simple as acquiring any or as much keywords as you can.
That won’t mean your SEO campaign is a guaranteed success because choosing the wrong ones is just as equally ineffective. You also have to be smart in which keywords you choose and how you choose to use it.

Primary Keywords

We are more than familiar with these all-important keywords. These keywords are the keywords that you would like to rank for. It’s these keywords that you want your target audience (and potential prospects) to find your site with.

For the sake of simplicity we shall refer to them as PRIMARY keywords. Primary keywords should always be in your site’s title tags, Meta tags, internal links, and of course, the body of your page contents.

Primary keywords are also an integral part of your backlink building strategy. Because your primary keywords will be used a lot in the anchor texts of your backlinks. And that is one of the best ways of utilizing your primary keywords.

Alas, as powerful as they primary keywords are, they can suffer from “overuse”. When it comes to this point, it starts to lose its effectiveness and in some cases, it can be damaging enough to jeopardize your entire SEO efforts.

This is because when you keep using the same one, especially for backlinks, things will not appear so natural anymore. But overusing the same keyword for building backlinks might not be so damaging as actually using the same keyword over and over again for your website page.

Secondary Keywords

Therefore a healthy dose of anchor links should include your main (primary) keywords as well a sprinkle of other set of keywords. This should be your SECONDARY keywords. These keywords may be comprised be derived from your main keywords. This applies to synonyms, different sequence, and arrangement, adding it with nouns, adjectives, or even verbs where appropriate.

Doing this will make your overall links sound more natural which can also cover what other people are using to search your contents. Everyone searches using different terms and phrases, so by diversifying your keywords as well (it IS your primary keywords but merely in a different form, but still retains the same context).

Secondary keywords are not only used for anchor texts for backlinks, but also for the internal links on your site. Because using the same primary keywords on your website without changing it’s form or sequence will easily shoot up your keyword density to the level of keyword-stuffing.

Therefore by employing secondary keywords on your site, you will not be penalized for keyword stuffing but at the same time you will still be able to retain the context of the primary keywords.

Therefore secondary keywords are just as important as primary keywords themselves. You can’t purely rely only your primary keywords. Secondary keywords are not meant to achieve a higher rank in the search engine results for your web page. Think of your secondary keywords as “reinforcing” or “supplementing” your primary keywords.

By having a wide array of keyword variants which is derived from your main keywords, can make your SEO efforts sound more natural to both your web visitors and also the search engines. Imagine if you have only used the same keywords over and over again on the contents of your website. It will look spammy, and will eventually become annoying for the visitors for those who do stay long enough.

Content marketing has been gaining popularity for quite some time now and from the looks of it, it hardly shows any signs of slowing down. One of the main reason that’s fueling its momentum are the online businesses have come to adopt this method of marketing.

But what is it exactly that sets content marketing apart?

It’s the approach.

Content marketing strives to deliver value first to its customers before any real marketing or selling is done to them. And it works, really well because potential prospects respond positively to it.

Like many things that are gaining popularity, many people have plenty of misconceptions or the wrong idea about content marketing. It’s actually a simple case of misunderstanding and being informed by those who misunderstand.

But, it becomes damaging when misinformed people start to adopt this strategy with the wrong mindset. With the wrong mindset, these people will be doomed to fail long before they even the true potential of content marketing. Of course, they don’t see it as their fault, and they only see that it is their tools which are at fault here.

So to avoid jumping into content marketing with the wrong mindset, take a look at some of the misconceptions about it :

Content Part Is Easy

Let me save you the trouble and allow me to put it in the simplest of terms.

Coming up with content is NOT as easy as many people think.

In fact, according to a study, coming up with ENGAGING content for content marketing is the biggest challenge faced by many online businesses. This is closely followed by CONSISTENTLY coming up with engaging content. Yes, you have to write great content plenty of times. The quest to constantly deliver value to your readers can be…never-ending.

You didn’t think content marketing would be that easy now did you?

What is important here is to actually sit down and get the creative process going. Adequate research has to be also performed, such as keyword research, market trends, target audience research, their likes, dislikes, wants, needs, desires and such.

Only from then, can you know WHAT to write so that it WILL APPEAL to your target audience. Content is only as valuable as your potential prospects who appreciates it.

Remember, you are writing FOR your target audience, and to do that you need to better understand them, or be in their shoes.

Job Done After Writing

Let’s say you are an artist and you have just painted your finest masterpiece. If you frame it, hang it up on the wall for display and wait for people to come, is anyone going to? Well, unless a miracle happened, nobody is going to come because nobody knows you finished painting the said masterpiece in the first place.

The same goes for your online content. Nobody will come to read about your published masterpiece if nobody knows it exists in the first place. No matter how great a masterpiece is, it is not going to attract crowds by itself. It is a crowd-pleaser, but it isn’t a crowd-puller. Not yet anyway.

You have to optimize your content to be search-engine friendly and you need to distribute it on the right channels to ensure it get the exposure it needs to generate traffic back to your site. But of course you don’t want to pull in just any crowd. To be more efficient, you need to go where your target audience is.

Social Media Is A Better Alternative

Many people abandon the idea of content marketing because it is too hard, it takes up too much time and too much effort. So they turn to social media instead. They think, how hard is it to talk in 140 characters at a time right?

Well, just how much value can you give your target audience in 140 characters or less? Yes, not much either. These people just do not see the bigger picture. When content marketing works in SYNERGY with social media, the potential is many times better than any of these methods alone.

Content marketing can be propelled with social media and a social media strategy can be more effective with great content backing it up. In other words, content marketing can’t really take off without social media and social media just doesn’t really have the “Oomph” without the right content.

So, instead of choosing one, by employing both methods, it can have a far greater impact that can change your business and bring it to new heights of success.

Content marketing is not a new fad or trend, nor is it a shortcut. It is just a new and more effective approach in reaching out to your customers and connecting to them on a deeper level (which was long overlooked). In the end, having 1 loyal customer is always worth more than 2 non-loyal ones. And with content marketing, you are going to have plenty of loyal customers at hand.

Content Curation is the process of research, aggregation, analysis and organisation of web content and presenting it in a meaningful, coherent and organized way. It is usually done based around a particular topic, or niche. Content curation suggests that it is carried out by a real person, a human being, rather than by a piece of software or service.

That in turn suggests that the Human Being is a Curator, usually an expert in the field being curated. Due to the vast amounts of data available, and being constantly created every day in huge volume, the task can be time consuming and difficult.

Why Is Content Curation Useful?

Content is King. That’s why it’s useful. Every business, entrepreneur and organisation needs to produce, or publish content. Creating new content is difficult and time consuming.

So acting as a Content Curator is a viable alternative. Instead of producing the content, curating it is an easier (possibly) option. What does this mean in term of your reputation? It presents you as the expert, the trusted source, the one that is ‘in the know’. Gaining this reputation is very valuable as it adds to your brand and builds your social capital.

Why Is Content Curation Hot Right Now?

There is a LOT of content on the web right now. Filtering all that content and presenting ‘the best of the web’ has become big business. It’s a VERY fashionable thing to do, a very accepted way of building a website, blog, or social media profile. You can even go so far as build your own personal brand around being a top content curator. There are a lot of BIG sites out there using this model:
For example:

The Huffington Post

Gawker

Tech Crunch

Mediaite

Pricey Pads

Step By Step Blueprint

Step 1 :: Research

Topics and sources

Be very sure what your topic is; make it narrow, not wide.

Research sites and sources of content, in a variety of media categories; written, pictorial, audio, video, even games and apps.

Read a lot, a lot more than you ever share.

Don’t use it unless it’s very high quality: Quality not quantity.

Step 2 :: Analyse

Take note of the format of what you are sharing, and ensure a good mix of sources.

Add value in the form of opinion; additional resources, annotations, comparisons etc.

Always give proper attribution to the source.

What is attribution? Simply, you must mention who wrote it and link to the original website it came from.

Step 3 :: Publish and Share

Blog
Publish it (with attribution) on your own-domain blog. Publish it (with attribution) on other blogging networks:

WordPress

Blogger

Tumblr

Posterous

LiveJournal

Xanga

Weebly

Social Media
Link to the content on Social Media Networks:

Facebook

Twitter

LinkedIn

Myspace

Google Plus

Pinterest

Orkut

Ning

Badoo

Video
Create a Video linking to the content, and share on the video networks:

YouTube

Vimeo

Veoh

Dailymotion

Yahoo Video

Metacafe

Viddler

Flickr

Revver

Videojug

SmugMug

Photobucket

Hulu

Audio
Create an Audio (podcast or similar) and share on the podcast networks:

iTunes

Podomatic

Podcastalley

Odeo

Yahoo

iPodder

Expert Content Curation Tips

Use Google Alerts on keywords you are curating.

Use Google Reader to monitor relevant RSS feeds from blogs and news sites

Use iffft to alert you of news

Monitor Google Trends

Monitor Twitter for trending items

Follow other people in your niche on Twitter etc.

Do it differently; if curators in your niche just publish on blogs, create a video or audio daily review of news items.

Do it continuously; people expect it all the time, so either choose a topic you love, or work hard, or outsource it!

Content Curation Tools

1 – paper.li

Paper.li claims you can:

“Start an online newspaper today”

“for your community”

“to monitor a topic”

“to share your passion”

“for the classroom”

“about your town”

“as a newsletter”

“to cover an event”

“to mobilize”

2 – BagTheWeb

BagTheWeb says you can:

“Find, Bag, Share”

“Build Networked Curation”

3 – Pearltrees

Pearltrees suggests you can use it to:

“Cultivate your interests” and it is:

“A place to collect, organize and share everything you like on the web”

4 – Scoop.it

The Scoop.it site enables you to:

“Easily Publish Gorgeous Magazines” ;

“Leverage Curation to increase your visibility.” and

“Give persistence to your social media presence.”

Conclusion

Content Curation is a powerful method of publishing other peoples content. You therefore don’t have to create content yourself; you ‘only’ have to act as the publisher, the re-publisher, the curator. You can build your own personal brand as an expert in your niche, and as the person who is in the know. This will lead to all sorts of opportunities.

Internet Marketing has been around for many years now. Many people have come to embraced internet marketing as their main career choice, and many people have also jumped ship from working full-time from a cubicle in the middle of town to working flexible hours from their office in the very comfort of their own home.

Why do these people make the shift? Well, the potential to earn (much) more money at your own time, pace and accord is certainly tempting enough. Added to the fact that many people are currently living the life of their dreams thanks to Internet Marketing, it’s no surprise more and more people are trying their hand at it each passing year.

Even though Internet Marketing has been around for very long, but in the ever evolving World Wide Web, internet marketing strategies come and go. Some worked, some didn’t, some outright failed, and some were doomed to fail even before it took off. But of course there are that worked, and continued to work until this very day.

And here are those that stood the test of time:

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Marketing has been around as long as the search engine giants themselves. And as the name SEO suggests, it was born because of the search engines.

Many people recognize the benefits of being top dog in the search engine results and therefore when bringing their businesses online or creating an online business, they aim for the top spot, and they realized that to achieve this is to perform SEO. Most searchers don’t bother clicking results which are not on the top 5 and anything below that the chances of sites being clicked are severely diminished.

Perhaps the most attractive aspect of SEO is that its methods are often FREE to employ and even small online business owners are more than capable to do it on their own, and all of it on their own even.

With SEO being free and have a chance to be on the top spot in the searches, it’s no wonder many companies are adopting SEO as a staple part of their online strategy to pull in customers or organic traffic to their website.

In addition to optimizing your websites, link building is such an important and integral aspect of SEO that deserves to be pointed out. Link building involves leaving your web link on other web site or pages. For example you can do this through blog commenting, guest posting, social media, and forums. The best practice is to leave your link on web pages which are relevant to yours therefore pulling in more targeted traffic.

PPC (Pay-Per-Click)

For businesses who have the budget to do so, they will most likely adopt the PPC advertisement strategy. Pay Per Click campaigns allows you to display your ads and you only pay when someone clicks on your ad. You don’t have to pay when someone merely views your ad. It’s only when someone clicks on it.

The biggest names so far in the PPC advertisement scene have to be Google AdWords and Facebook Ads. But, just like SEO, for PPC to be truly effective you must properly research and utilize the keywords which will bring in the most of your target audience. Poorly executed PPC campaigns will only waste your hard earned money.

And by pulling in targeted audience will you effectively pull in clicks which are genuinely interested in what you are advertising and most probably buy what you are selling on your website, be it a product or service.

Web Banners

Web Banners are usually more flashy and eye-catching compared to most PPC ads because they employ the use of more graphical or animated elements to really catch a web surfer’s attention. It’s easier to capture the attention of web surfers using web banners as picture can speak a thousand words.

Web banners do not have to be part of a specific ad network and you can usually design your very own banners and approach web masters to “rent” their ad space for a certain monthly fee. The question of who you approach and how you approach is totally up to you but each webmaster usually has certain rules that you must adhere to before you can put up your ad on their website. Rules such as the size of your banner or the nature of the advertisement has to suit their website’s tone and theme

E-Mail

As the saying goes, “The money is in the list”. That is the main reason why people build lists or leads through their opt-in form on their websites. To capture their visitor’s e-mail as those who choose to opt-in are usually interested in what the website owner has to say or give or simply to receive future updates on current news and events.

E-mail marketing however is a great way for the list owner to build relationships with his/her current list through newsletters. And a good list owner knows when the time is right to market the right things to them is and therefore he/she can continue to reap in profits time and time again.

This leads us to another saying that goes like this. “The best time to start building a list was yesterday” therefore it is never too early to start building your list as an internet marketer nor is it ever too late either.

To be truly successful in internet marketing is not just using one of these strategies, but in fact employing more than one or even all of them if possible. But before you do that, it is recommended that you truly understand and be knowledgeable in at least one of them and before choosing to adopt another.

Working Internet Marketing strategies are not meant to be seen as a replacement, but should be viewed as individual strategies that complement and supplement each other to achieve even greater success and rake in bigger profits in Internet Marketing.

A website’s success largely depends on the marketing strategy used to promote it. Thus, an effective strategy equates to a profitable online business. And with some CPA marketing techniques, this wouldn’t be so hard to achieve.

CPA Marketing Tactics

Be guided with the following marketing tactics for your online business:

1. The Right Knowledge and Connections

Starting in this kind of online marketing may prove to be very tricky and complex. You’ll need to manage your website, create a domain and even transact with various CPA networks. Hence, you need all the information and help you can get. Research everything about Cost per Action marketing and all the strategies connected to this concept. If possible, you can also ask for some advice from people who are already successful in this field. This way, you can get foolproof tips and advice straight from the expert marketers.

2. The Perfect CPA Network for your Marketing
Choosing a legitimate CPA network practically determines your marketing’s success. So before negotiating with a certain network, you have to be sure that they are providing real and useful services for your website. Check out the required payment methods and see if they are legit. You can also look around for that network’s reputation through some user and client reviews.

Books can be sold like hotcakes on Amazon.com, the most popular online retailer owned by the multinational company Amazon.com Incorporated. But what’s more amazing is that practically anyone, whether you are a reseller, author, or publisher, can sell books.

Taking advantage of the continuous ramping sales record in online retailing, Amazon.com made selling books online a very easy job. With just simple steps, you can as well take advantage of Amazon.com’s pool of customers and, of course, earn lots of money.

To start selling on Amazon.com, the foremost thing you will need is to set up an Amazon Payments Account. This will aid you in processing your cash flows.

Getting an account involves only a few steps and minutes to complete:

1. Go to the Amazon.com website. On the upper most part, near the Amazon.com logo, click on the “Start here” link after the question: New Customer?

2. You will be directed to a page to sign in. Type in your email address and click on the first option: I am a new customer. After signing in, you may now type in your password. Then, click the link “create account.”

3. You will be taken to another page to register your account. You will have to complete filling in your account details, most specially the Payment information.

4. Add credit card or debit card and other billing information. Amazon.com will verify this account with your credit card company, and then will notify you after a couple of days.

5. After receiving a notification email from Amazon.com, you will need to select the type of shipping method you want to offer. After this, you are now ready to begin selling!

A notable benefit in selling books on Amazon.com is the hassle-free payment system. Amazon.com processes nearly everything from depositing your customer’s payment into your account to collecting shipping fee from them. But do not worry since the shipping fee will be part of the money deposited into your account. You must take note, though, that Amazon.com takes a commission in all your transactions.

After completing your account, you are now ready to post your books. You have to choose the title of the book you want to put up for sale from the available list of search results. Then, Amazon.com will ask you if you would like to sell this book, and then, click the button below the “Add to Shopping Cart” button.

An important thing to remember in selling your books on Amazon.com is to provide a price commensurate with the quality of the book you are putting up for sale. Say, used books are expected to be cheaper than the brand-new ones.

Also, you have to establish a good credibility on the marketplace. So give your customers a truthful and accurate description of the condition of the book. Identify books from being used or new, hardcover or softcover, and the likes.

Having learned all these simple lessons on selling books on Amazon.com marketplace, you will surely capitalize on the millions of bookworms buying on the marketplace.

A webinar event combines the benefits of a traditional seminar, lecture, workshop, or training. Although the speaker can’t be seen by the audience, most of the guidelines that apply to webinar are not much different to a traditional seminar. If you are planning to conduct a webinar, here are some guidelines for you:

1. Excite participants with your enthusiasm and energy – Put energy and enthusiasm into your tone, pronunciation, and your intonation. For the content of your presentation; make sure not to overwhelm your attendees by limiting yourself to at least three main points. Also, organize your content in a logical structure.

2. Keep the attendees attention always alive – Visuals play a vital role in keeping the audience engaged in your event. To keep the webinar interesting and alive make use of word pictures as examples. Change slides more often than you would at a traditional speech event. As a rule, no slide should stay on the screen for more than 45 to 60 seconds. Also, keep your slides simple and readable.

3. For timing of slides, practice your presentation prior to the scheduled event so you know how to work through the slides while talking.

4. Delivering a speech for a webinar is hard because you see nothing but the wall of your office or room. You may try having at least one person with you during the webinar, so that you can see someone while talking. However, make sure that person should behave like an inspiring listener or audience.

5. Give your participants a chance to talk – Running a seminar opens up the possibility of establishing a relationship with your audience. By giving your attendees a chance to interact with you and others, you also increases your chances of obtaining a business later.

6. Charging a fee – Attendees are willing to pay for webinars that will give them substantial educational benefits. Usually, webinars that run less than a full day are free of charge but if a webinar runs for a day or two, a speaker is entitled to charge the event. For most two-day programs, a fee ranges from $1,500 to $2,000.

7. Good planning – Planning every detail of your webinar lets you avoid possible problems that you might encounter. You can use your advance research to determine just the right products for your group of attendees. You can also talk with some of the participants in advance to know their interests and preferences.

8. Select the right time for delivering webinar – The best time for delivering webinar is around 7 PM and the best days are Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Avoid holding a webinar on Mondays and Fridays. Why? Mondays and Fridays tend to be too hectic because of the weekend. Also, be alert to public holidays which can vary from state to state, province to province, and country to country. Don’t forget the time zone differences. The best time for North American audience is after 9 AM and for the Pacific audience is before 3 PM.

Running a webinar as means of communicating useful information to people who need it most is very convenient and timely with our current global financial situation. Most of the guidelines that apply to traditional seminar, lecture, presentation, or workshops also apply to webinars. The only difference is that you can’t see your attendees and they also can’t see you. Here are some of the surefire ways how to run a successful webinar:

1. Try your best to keep away from interruptions – If you are in the office, to prevent interruptions, turn off your mobile phone, close your door, ask your assistant or co-worker that you need some time undisturbed. If you work at home, make sure the kids are busy with other stuffs and pets like dogs and cats do not enter the room.

2. Minimize anxiety – Anxiety causes nervousness and not being able to connect effectively with your webinar attendees. To minimize anxiety, think positive thoughts upon waking up on the day of your presentation. Also, be online and ready to start the presentation at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of conducting the webinar. Take a deep breath and focus on your presentation.

3. Maintain a pleasant demeanor – Although people can’t see you during the event, they can still feel your energy while you are conducting the webinar. So maintain a positive demeanor. Also, there are some webinar services that offer a video capability which allows people to see you via a webcam on your computer. If you opt this capability, you must be conscious and careful on your facial expression.

4. Speak with enthusiasm – Most attendees will do other stuffs while attending webinar. Speak with energy that will hold their attention.

5. Try your best not to be late for the webinar but once you start late, apologize

6. Get to the point quickly – Too much introductions bore people and people are usually always on the run. To avoid boredom from your attendees, start the webinar stating your objectives and reasons why your webinar topic is important. Then get on with your event.

7. Present, don’t sell – A common mistake among webinar presenters is delivering a sales pitch when it is not needed. Unless your stated objective is to sell a product, do not sound like selling a product to a customer.

8. Answer questions briefly and concisely – Some webinar programs allow attendees to raise questions directly just like in a traditional seminar. While some programs, allow questioning only at the end of the event or specific time like an end to a particular subject. Whichever way you choose taking questions, it is important for you to give responses briefly and concisely as possible to address various concerns in the time available to you.

9. Leave a contact number to your attendees for additional concerns – Some questions about a seminar, workshop, lecture, or training come up late. Leaving your number to attendees will not only build you a reputation of a good presenter but also give your attendees happiness on the webinar they attended.

Amazon.com, one of the largest online retailers in United States, is an online bookstore that caters to almost everyone in the industry of books. Whether you are a buyer, seller, or enterprise, you have a special place in the Amazon.com marketplace.

Sellers, most especially, can avail many services on Amazon.com, which operates both locally in its home country—United States—and internationally, such as easy selection, good pricing system, and convenience.

Whether you are a businessperson or home-based mother trying to clean her bookshelves, selling books on Amazon.com is surely a useful activity for you and your business. What are the reasons why you should sell your books on Amazon.com? There are actually a lot. Let us name a few.

Selling your books on Amazon.com does not pose any risk. It also requires small amount of investment—as small as $100. Another reason is that online shopping is popular; hence, it is a growing market. Many booksellers say it brings in earnings as much as a thousand dollars every month if you are full time.

In addition, several books are available for you to sell. You do not need to spend several hours of your time looking for books and selling them on Amazon.com. All kinds of books can be profitable on Amazon.com, ranging from rare to interesting books to academic books.

You can sell both non-fiction and fiction books. Appealing topics of books also include photography, history, cookbooks, and transportation such as motorcycles, cars, trains, boats, and aircraft. Of course, do not forget that how to books, medical and legal books, children’s stories, illustrated books, sports, magazine and the likes are also saleable.

Not only online shopping has become a trend in this advanced society, e-books are now in vogue. As Amazon.com told The New York Times in one of its reports, customers now buy more e-books than print books.

Amazon.com said in the same report that since April, the company’s sale-record ratio for books sold via its Kindle e-reader and hardcover and paperback books is 105 to 100.

Amazon.com’s chief executive Jeff Bezos said in the similar report that the company had high hopes in e-book overtaking the sale of print books, but they did not imagine to happen this soon.

Mr. Bezos is the founder of Amazon.com, which came online on 1995. The Time magazine named him the Person of the Year on 1999 as recognition of his success for making online shopping popular.

Mr. Bezos told The New York Times that the company has been selling print books for 15 years and Kindle books for less than four years.

However, this does not mean that books are still of not use. Several buyers still want books and you can sell them on the Amazon.com marketplace. Many people still want the portability that books have to offer.

In fact, a research firm Forrester Research said e-books comprises only 14 percent of the overall sales record of consumer fiction and nonfiction books. So hold on to your books and think about selling them on the Amazon.com marketplace.

Cost Per Action or CPA is the highest paying online advertising that works today, with commission ranging from $1-$25 for every sign-up or a 10 percent payment for an actual product purchase, what can you lose? And if you are a blog owner, this is an easy and lucrative way of monetizing from your efforts. However, negative reactions on online advertising which includes cost per action or CPA strategies had already been proliferating even before its birth. Which poses the question, is CPA really good for the customers, the affiliate, and the merchant?

A cost per action advertising works with at least three parties involved; the merchant site, the affiliate site, and the customer. For example, the merchant site is the Amazon Associates, the affiliate site is your blog site, and the customer is one of your readers. Given the three parties involved, here are the following benefits each party will gain from cost per action or CPA:

1. As a merchant – Merchants have minimal risks in cost per action or CPA advertising. Why? If you are a merchant, you only pay affiliate sites on a commission basis for every sign-up, purchase, or any service that can guarantee returns on investment. For example, the merchant is Amazon Associates and the affiliate site is your blog or website. Amazon Associates will pay only pay you for every purchase a visitor in your site makes. Amazon pays a 10 percent commission for every customer’s purchase which means for every visitor that makes a purchase; you will gain a 10 percent commission. But if a visitor in your site only makes clicks and not purchase, Amazon Associates as a merchant will not pay you anything.

2. As an affiliate – CPA is very beneficial and practical for an online merchant but is it true that all gains only go to the merchant? No. As an affiliate, it is true that you will gain nothing without a purchase or any beneficial return on investment from the part of the merchant. That is why, to be successful in monetizing your blog or site, you must first have wide readership and worth reading contents. You must also make sure that your blog and contents are search engine visible to attract more visitors and gain followers. And of course, your ads must be closely related to your contents and site’s purpose. As an affiliate, you can gain as much as $25 for every sign-up. These means a lot of you have wide readership and most of your readers are interested in the sign-up ad. With the case of Amazon Associate, Amazon usually places advertisements which are only related to blog content. So, if you are a blog owner, the biggest challenge in monetizing your blog is readership and your credibility as a blogger.

3. As a customer – Customers nowadays, are usually aware of online advertising scams. The good thing about cost per action advertising is that as a customer, you do not risk any penny without your consent. More often, you only follow blogs which are helpful and interesting to you. In the case of Amazon Associates, since they only places ads which are related to the blog site and it’s contents, in a way, the cost per action or CPA advertisement becomes helpful to you because you can be able to locate products related to your interests.
